Has anyone ever had the lock on the military close accidentally or anything like that?

Also is there a blade play in this knife usually?

Mine has been solid - no play whatsoever. But I don't use it as a axe.

I've had issues with blade play on my Military a couple of times. In fact, I'm thinking about retiring it now because it has a bit of blade play that I can't adjust out.

This might not be an issue with the newer ones though, as they use a regular pivot rather than an eccentric pivot.

The lock on the Military can flex or bend when the spine of the blade is under pressure. This is much the same with other knives such as the Swamp Rat Rat Trap folding knife that does the same thing. It doesn't necessarily mean that there is a security issue with the lock though. Generally speaking the Military is probably one of the better made liner locking folders being produced.

Yes, the liner lock on the Military is more prone to white knuckling that any other liner lock I have owned.
