Hi all,
Trying to put together some bill money. All prices include shipping by USPS Priority, and I'll do my best to put them into the mail ASAP. Please take a look, and if you're interested or have a question, please post here, PM me, or email me. Everything's negotiable, so if you have a reasonable offer, please contact me. I prefer PayPal, and you don't pay extra for it. I also take Post Office MO's, but don't ship until I've cashed them at the local PO. I also don't use Delivery Confirmation unless requested, since it's more or less useless (IMO). Thanks!
First one up - a used Spyderco Military. This one's been sharpened a few times, and had the tip reshaped to fix a small dent there. It's in very good user shape. The lockup is perfect, with the entire liner right on the left side of the tang. Pictures tell the story better than I can. Price: $50 SOLD
Number two - a like-new Mcusta Basic, with damascus blade and quincewood handles. Took it out of the box, carried it a few times, then put it in a drawer. It's in excellent condition - factory edge, and the lock engages all the way to the left. In the picture showing the blade in the handle channel, you can see that the blade appears to list a little to one side. This seems to be due to the lockbar pushing on the blade when it's closed. It doesn't touch either side, and it's pretty close to centered. I didn't encounter any rubbing against the liners when opening with either hand. Price: $95
Third time's the charm - a Hanwei Tactical Tanto. This fellow is in OK condition - when purchased, it had a few spots of oxidation near the tip of the blade. It also has a small tear (about 1/4 inch long) in the rayskin covering the handle, near the pommel. Otherwise, it's a fine knife. I'm selling this as a "fixer-upper." A little fine-grit sandpaper and a day of woodwork will get you a fine knife. The sheath is in good shape, although it's lost its fabric inner lining. You can remedy this by laying a narrow strip of felt and epoxying it in along the inner edge of the sheath, where the edge of the knife rests. The handle is held in place by a nut, and the tang is rectangular in cross section - between the simple tang and the hex-nut construction, making a new handle should be fairly simple. The existing one is very solid, but that tear in the rayskin makes it a bit unattractive. I took some Metal-Glo to the blade, hoping to remove the oxidation spots, but all I did was remove the blueing. So basically, you're getting a functional piece, but for a really good price. Your cost: $30 SOLD
