So many of you love the military. Do you have plain edge or spydie edge?

Does the steel choice make a difference? Both kinds seem to be floating around in the market? Does plain edge have one and spydie the other?

BTW seems that some sellers are practically giving away the spydie plain edge ATS 34 for between 80 and 95 dollars.

Thanks.

Hi Steve,
Even thought there are some good prices with the Military in ATS34 including the new improved model I have and much rather have the knive in 440V. I have it in the Spyderedge for 2 reasons:
1. I like Spyderco's serrations
2. I live along the water and cut a lot of rope and nothing cuts rope better than serrations.
Now,I wouldn't mind having both though....

Plain edge and serrated can be had in both ATS-34 and 440V. The ATS-34 has been discontinued so once they are gone there will be no more. The ATS-34 ones are good, but 440V is a much better steel. You can get 440V for not much more than ATS-34. If possible I would rather pay $20 more for 440V. Either one you get you will be happy with I'm sure. Steve -- welcome! You've come to the right place.

I have a 440V serrated Military - the sharpest knife I ever held.

You won't go wrong buying one!
