Hey guys,

so this Spyderco Military I've taken an interest in, discussed on another thread, sounds more interesting all the time. Could anyone possibly post a pic of the opened knife's top and perhaps the bottom even (I'd like to get a look at the liners and lock before I order, local dealers don't stock it..)?

Any help would be much appriciated.

Thanks, Christiaan.

I don't know how to post pics here so I emailed you some. You can't go wrong with the Military.

Yep, thanks again for the great pics and your subsequent answers to my questions. They have fed my enthousiasm, and a military will probably be coming up soon.

Christiaan.

Is it true that the pivot pin can be adjusted and that it can be done in a way to adjust the locking mechanism?

Yes indeed, the pivot can be adjusted to recompense locking liner and blade tang mutual wear out. However using my Military daily around household for about 3 years I didn’t notice any wear out so far. So I didn’t have any need to study this matter more particularly.

numberthree, don't let the linerlock keep you from trying out a Military. The Millie linerlock is TOUGH. ;)

But...
...even though I have a PlainEdge Millie now that I'm very satisfied with, I wouldn't hesitate in getting another one if it had the Compression Lock. :D

I never liked a liner lock until I got the Milli. It is the best choice for this knife.

Sorry number three, didn't know about you being a lefty. :footinmou

I'm also a "Lefty", and I find liner-locks pretty dangerous for me, as it's pretty easy to cut myself while closing the blade...UNLESS it's a "Lefty" liner-lock. One of the reasons why I like the (Spydie) lock-backs the best is that they are "ambidextrious".:).
