So I just recieved my new spyderco Millie Ti yesterday, this is my first spyderco, and thought I would share my thoughts about it.

First this is a very beautiful knife. The fit and finish is perfect. I love titanium frame locks which is why I decided to buy this knife in the first place. The blade came perfectly centered right out of the box, as well as being incredibly sharp. It has no blade play at all. It feels like a fixed blade. The ergonomics of this blade are awesome, it feels great in the hand and you get a full grip with your thumb sticking right at the hump with great jumping in a good spot. The blasted titanium looks great and it has some stick to it as well which I like. Without going into great detail, I think this is an awesome knife. But one thing that I don't like is that it did not come very smooth. It was able to be flicked, just not very well. I lubed it and have been breaking it in some and it's getting better, I just wish it would have come a little smoother. I don't know if the detent needs to be sunk or what, but it is stiffer than I like. And if you try to adjust the pivot screw it just throws the blade centering off. Over all I really think this is a great knife, it's just not for me. I've always stayed away from spyderco because I was not a huge fan I their look, but I decided to go for it this time because it was a Ti frame lock, but ultimately I can not get myself to enjoy this knife as much as I would like to, which is why I will probably be trading this knife for a different Ti frame lock soon.

Ya I'm sure it will get smoother, and that's what I have been doing, but I just don't think I will keep it so I'm not to worried about it.

All the Spydercos I've had needed to be broken in.... Just give it some time and plenty of opening and closing cycles :)

don't you just love the soft, metallic "clunk" when opening a new ti millie? rock steady is how i'd describe it.

Definitely a rock solid lock up and a awesome sound. I just still can't get used to the look of the spyderco. I would like to get a sebenza, and I might try trading this and something else or cash for a large sebenza.

I got one a few months ago. I almost traded mine away right after I got it, but after using it for a couple of weeks I completely forgot about that idea. It has become my all time favorite knife. I suggest giving it some time and some use. I never really appreciate my spydies until I use them.
