Since I've been a "Spyderman" since the very beginning I am always amazed to meet someone who is interested in knives but has never heard of Spyderco. I was talking with a guy at my American Legion Post a couple of weeks ago who said he had lost his pocketknife and wanted a new one. As I was coming from work in a secure building, the only knives I had on me were my "money clip" read Rescue II and an old style Delica that rides nicely out of sight behind my Leatherman Wave and minimaglight in a clip-on belt holster. He was interested but it was apparent he was not real enamoured with the zytel handles. So last night was show and tell at the Post. I brought in a Military, Big and little Wegners, Stainless Calyso jr., Delica II, co-pilot, a Jot Singh Khalsa, a couple of zytel handle Mokis, a Ladybug and a couple of Benchmades. Well I'm happy to report we have a least one convert. There were only a couple of people there but everyone, including the bartender stopped to look. I'm pretty sure the next time I see Neal he is going to be the proud owner of a Delica II. He liked the size and was really impressed with the solid feel of the stainless handle. Hallelujah!

it's it great to feel "technologically advanced" in something? i too have converted many friends into carrying knives although some didn't take the spyderco path. but they saw that i always had a knife and were constantly asking me to borrow it. that's when i started to carry two knives. then at work, two guys would ask me for a knife, so i carried three. i now always carry three or four, depending on my mood. and i'm proud to say that i get asked for them less and less because they have their own. now when it comes to needing a SHARP knife....

Steve B.,
Yeah, that thought crossed my mind too. I was trying to picture what it might look like.
