I am looking for a specific knife and wondering if anyone could help me locate it. It was made by Moki and Spyderco. Black with a mother of pearl spyderco spyder in it. Please let me know if you can help me locate it!!!

Can you add a little more detail? Size etc.? If it's small it might be a Spyderkey. I've seen a few around but can't remember where...

Lauren - The only models that I can think of offhand with inlaid MOP Spyder was some prototype work done by Santa fe Stoneworks. Phil Gibbs (Camillus) engineered the tooling and Santa Fe did the work. (beautiful work I might add).

It is also possible that there are some aftermarket handle makers that have done this.

I normally read the old Ironstone catalogs pretty thoroughly, and I don't recall a Moki with an MOP SpyderBug. I do recall some high-end Mokis under the Moki name with some seashell inlay handles in years past. Most of the Moki-made knives we see in North America are made for Spyderco and other companies who subcontract with the best.

Tom Lagan (LagaNet), best known around here as the Canadian distributor for Fallkniven, has just started importing several Moki brand knives, including these (the scanner goes a little crazy with mirror-polished metal):
