Came out of "retirement" to finish this for a trade. I think it turned out pretty nice. 1/8" thick black linen micarta finished to 320 grit for some nice grip. I sprayed it with gun oil to protect the 52100 steel, which darkens the scales until they get wet. Tubes are 5/32" and 1/4" aluminum. I was considering looking up grinder prices and such, again, then that smell of Micarta, grit, etc just made me thank that I've given this up. Someday I'll have a real shop, but until it can be decked out with ventilation equipment and is in a separate building, no more basement shops for me! lol It was fun, though. Not looking forward to the sheath, though.... more pics when it's done.

Nice job! I just ordered the M4 Mule and will have to work up something for it too.
I have a slab of rag micarta that I think I'll cut down and use, pretty stuff.

Gary,I will take this one whenever you are ready to sell:D:D.Please make a right handed sheath for this.If you have ordered 2 of the mule teams in M4 steel I will take both of them:).
Chiro 75 very nice job.Are these pretty sharp from the factory or did you have to work to put a fine edge on them?.

Raj., the 52100 one seen above came Spyderco sharp out of the box, so I'm guessing the M4 is/will be the same.

Hi Chir0 75,looking forward to pictures of your sheath.
Gary, you should have ordered the second one in the M4 steel.I heard that you are allowed 2.Looking forward to pictures of your M4 with the rag micarta.

Looks great, the micarta is a great looking material on this. Looking forward to seeing the sheath...may give me ideas for mine.
