Do you think its a good deal?

First, don't link to live auctions, it's considered deal spotting. I have a single CPM-M4 Mule and I have not put handles on it, yet. I paid a premium for it, but not so much that I regretted it. Like any knives, they are worth whatever you are willing to pay for them. It's a good deal if you want it that bad.

They are so hard to find because they only made 600 of them, three years ago. I don't think $250 is a good deal, but I bought mine for $70 each when they came out. If you snooze, you lose.

That's kind of the point of getting in on these mule sprint runs. The exclusivity.
It's worth what someone's willing to pay for it.

Ironic how the original poster is in VA and the eBay seller is in VA. What are the chances? Amazing coincidence. $250 is ridiculous. I'd definitely stay away as I reported auction to eBay as possibly stolen or fraudulant and i'd be concerned as a buyer that I may not be able to get my money refunded if the seller ends up keeping money and never mails knife, but claims he/she did and refuses refund.

The in stock Cruwear mules will have performance that's up there near where CPM M4 is at that hardness ( both around rc 62, M4 will have the edge in wear resistance but Cruwear is still well above D2).

It seems better than paying that much for an M4 mule that is out of stock. They are both high performers though, kind of can't go wrong performance as long as you don't mind non stainless steels.

I never thought that I would live long enough to see the Mastiff put any steel above Cruwear. ;)

It is difficult saying that, I admit. Considering I was working trying to talk Sal into using it for around 5 years. Sal jokingly calls it "mastiffwear". :)
