Ok so i got mine from spyderco a few days ago. I like it alot, not going to replace my CPM M4 mule, but then i doubt any steel will for a long time...

Ok to the point. So if the new Mule is still available directly from Spyderco for 84.95, can anyone explain to me how the hell its selling for more with the current bids on Ebay? I mean it makes no sense to me. I feel i am about to go on a tirade on stupidity, so i will end my rant

I've noticed that some of the collector's club numbered knives (which includes this one) have been selling for higher than normal lately. Guess there are some people out there that like having the numbered ones. It gives it a sense of being more exclusive I suppose.

Some people don't shop around. They see it on eBay, they want it, they bid. Others attempt to, check a couple dealers, not see the item, not think to visit the manufacturer's website, then bid. There may also be some who get a masochistic pleasure out of overpaying on eBay, something like compulsive gamblers.
