I just received a Native 5 in g10 from my family for my birthday and have a few concerns. I know it's from a reputable seller albeit on eBay from whom I have purchased Spyderco knives which I know are legitimate.

Anyway, it's not nearly as smooth as I have seen from others. I tried tightening the pivot since the blade was off center, but it resulted in the knife being MUCH stiffer. I thought the pivot bushing system was to prevent that? Or do I misunderstand? I'm hoping it is not a fake but figured I would check with the forum.

I can't take pics right now since I am going out with family but will as soon as I am able to.

the native 5 with G10/and liners uses special domed shaped bronze washers, because of this you must not over tighten its bushing system or the blade will stick,if its blade is off center!you can sometimes flecks it liners before tightening the pivot screws,it sometimes helps!but as i have found out this bushing system has to be just right, when you have a chance please post some pic's.
