Any impressions on this knife?? This is my first purchase of Spyderco. I'm looking for something durable with good edge retention for EDC and since I havent recieved it yet, was wondering if I made a good choice. I have heard nothing but good things about S30V, but have seen it tempered to various
RC, and not sure what Spydercos specs are.

Native is an'old timer', but always very 'in'. There is a lot o reviews about Native, e.g. by Fred Perrin, just use 'search'.
It is unique and very good designed.
S30V - Spyderco quoted Rc 58/59 (the same as Sebenza) in the begining, now they quote Rc 58-60. Recently, Sal said, hardness is in fact, mostly Rc 59/60.

the factory edge can be a little rough or toothy - so you might want to smooth it out a bit

William,
This is a lot of knife for its size and price, the knife is very ergonomic and behaves like a larger knife due to a well thought out design; the overall package provides an excellent value.

Great basic design, distinctive and interesting variants. If you like the one you get, take a look at the Native III as well. It's in VG-10, which Spyderco does very well, and the handle is rounded out a bit for an extremely comfortable grip. The swedge is different from the earlier models. I got one with the blue handle.

The C41 presents quite an opportunity to own an s30v blade for minimal cash outlay. The handle ergos rock. Quite a workhorse. Get the serrated model. It won't disappoint. Lots of bang for the buck.

Thanks to all of you for your feedback. I knew i'd get some great info.
Sounds like I will be satisfied with it!

Go for a Native III. I love my Native I, but I am selling it on eBay right now to pay for my III, which feels great in my hand, very good design. You can use it all day long, and your hand will thank you for it! ;)
