Spyderco Native Moonglow

Just got an email from a certain distributer saying that he is getting some Natives in Moonglow. First time ever hearing about this, and truth be told, I am pretty excited. I wonder what blade steel will be used on it. Discuss.
 
I traded a few emails with Jim because I was wondering whether these would have the S110V blades said to be coming down the road. He thought that since he had received no information or photos, that the blades might be something more like S30V and that the S110V blades would be a bit later. Mike

Pretty sure I saw it go from "1 in stock" to zero right before my eyes. Mike
 
Saw that today as well. Looks like a cool model. On my list for sure. I didn't see any mention of steel, so my guess would be S35VN
 
It's a Native5 moonglow? Oh man...mannn I'm getting it.

Fluted Ti, and also the CF coming out? Let's do this :cool:
 
1. I saw the email from HKS. :eek:
2. Went to look and there was no picture and it said "Qty: 4" :confused:
3. Did a google search to see if I could find a picture, no luck. :confused:
4. Went back to HKS, now getting a webpage error. :confused:
5. Tried 5 minutes later, website back up "Qty: 0" :mad:

WTH!?! The stars were not aligned today, unlike when I snatched up a Caly 3 Super Blue in a similar sale. :D
 
Howes had the moonglow up last night with a qty of 5. Checked again this morning and still 5. I guess I was the first one to purchase this morning before they were announced in the the email update. Still planing to buy one from EDCF when available.

You can mention Howes knife shop as they are a paid dealer.
 
Wonder if it will be the same smooth scale design as the manix moonglow. I may have to get in line for one of these as well. Spyderco, you are killing me with all these new knives that I "Need". ;)

Yeah, this one was unexpected. There's prob a couple more of these for the year... You know, unexepected must haves. LOL

The less markings on the blade the better... I guess it truly is a edcforums exclusiveif its gonna have their stamp.

They didn't even have a pic on their website. I would love to see one as well. I kind of like the fact that they throw out these "specials" from time to time. Makes them very collectable I imagine.
 
It has a big fat EDCF logo next to the spyderco logo. It looks so misplaced... why would someone do that to such nice design? Is is so difficult to put the logo on the backside of the blade? Unfortunately i can't buy it because i really can't stand the look of it.
 
Its true about the moon scales, I have some already, but I hear its a limited release of 1000 sets. I wish I could post pics of em. Email me if you don't believe me. Ill email pics of em, they are way too slick for my liking. I don't own a native yet but have the scales. And they glow like crazy! !
