Knifekits.com sells tools like coil spring pocket cutters etc... You might check them out.

Well been checking on the auto thing and it is possible. I will have to make a new handle, aluminum will be my choice. Anodized here at home then the fun begins. A few mods to the blade. A push button release but I'm going to try to keep the lock back if I can. I will post pics of the progress.

Are you going to make it similar to the Buck 110 auto mod?

Ah I understand now. You are going to build a knife with a blade from a native. Ok, keep us updated. This looks interesting.

Anyone suggest a nice auto fairly cheap? I'm still going to do this mod but would like a factory made to compare with.
