Spyderco outlets in California

I am a UK Spyderco fan, but the prices are very high here compared to the USA. My sister is coming out to the States in a weeks time and I would like her to pick up a couple of new Spydies for me. She will be travelling in California.
Can anyone recommend a good store, with reasonable prices in the Carmel, Santa Barbara or San Diego areas particularly, or anywhere else in the state?
Also any website info would be helpful so that I can check them out before her trip.

Hi. I can tell you that there is basically two stores in Carmel that sell knives. While they have a pretty nice selection, they are far more expensive than any of the discount Internet-based dealers. However, you may find that that the retail storefront prices there to be reasonable compared to UK prices. Look at the this link. I am pretty certain that these folks do not have a website that you will be able to preview.

Santa Barbara is similarly a tourist-oriented town, although someone may know of a dealer there that sells to the locals. San Diego will be your best bet as there will be many dealers. I don't know them as I am in San Francisco.

Other things to condsider: The Blade Show West in Irvine, California on September 22 and 23. Many dealers offers specials at the blade show. - Good luck

One of the finest knife stores in California is in the San Diego area. It is called Wright Knives and is owned by Dennis Wright. He can be reached on 1-800-400-1980 or 619-465-6905.

Dennis carries a full line of Spyderco as well as many other top of the line brands.
