I've noticed some Spydercos come in the White slide-out box (customs, Native), some come in blue boxes (Worker, Pro Venator), some in red boxes (Harpy, Standard, Police) and some in black boxes (Zytel Delica, Stainless Rookie). Just curious why the different packages exist and what criteria is used for box selection when a new model is released.

Thanks for the response. From a collectors standpoint it will be interesting to see in 50 years what value an orginal box will add to a knife's value (say a worker in a blue box with the old foil wrapping). Does wonders for the firearms collector. From a trivia standpoint just curious... thanks again.
