I've just got a hold of a bradley alias 1 with blue titanium and love the the blade a lot but I'm on the list to receive a green scale para 2 with cts 204p. I love both styles what the best blade

S30V is a fine blade-steel, as used in your Bradley Alias 1. But S30V is no match for 204P in terms of edge retention, cutting ability with rope/cardboard.
204P is "up there" in the list, having brothers such as S90V and CTS-20CP and M390.
I am not disparaging S30V, as with proper heat treat, it is commonly used in some of the finer custom folders available.

There is a lot of difference in the 2 knives. Right now I EDC the blue PM2, M390 being one of the highest rated steels. If someone offered me an Alias 1 and a green PM2, I would take the Alias. That is strictly a personal choice because I like the design of the Alias. I think most people on this forum might choose the green PM2.

PM2, has the better steel. For how much S30v is talked up, I'm not impressed with it on my PM2...

i would think the Alias would be more of a gentleman's folder and the para would be more of an edc, although both would be great for edc!

The cts-204p is a step up from the S30v but in the end you need to take into account the whole knife not just the steels!

The Alias 1 is probably not as good as the Alias 2. But I'd still go after the blade-steel in the PM2. Plus, I prefer the PM2, although I would like to get a Sebenza one of these days.

Alias 1 would be my recommendation, awesome knife!

I love both Alias Models and highly recommend them when the topic comes up.

Now the PM2 is a great knife and 204p steel is truly own of the best steels on the market.

I have a Southard, which obviously has 204p and I can't say enough good things about the blade.

But if your basing your decision on the whole knife and not just the blade steel, then I still say go with the Alias.

Just my .02

Depends on if you want a pretty damn good user with very respectable steel, or an even better user with godlike ergonomics, much improved blade profile, and an even better super steel?

Para2 gets my vote.
