I snapped a few pics of my Para today that turned out rather well. The camera was my Canon S30. Thanks for looking.

It's a coin I got from one of my officers while stationed in Korea. The four-star general came through on one of our exercises and gave a bunch of them to our commander to pass out. It's a common thing in the Army, most higher-ranking people have coins made to give to people for special occasions. Thanks for the compliments, you're no slouch with a camera yourself!

Yes, it's a real pain in the arse isn't it. Now there's another bloody knife I just have to get!

Looks just as ugly as every other Spyderco to me.

I'm still deciding between this, a Military, a Calypso, a U2, a Mountain Man, or a A.G. Russell Lockback... :o The Para and Calypso are winning though. ;)

I have never been a Spyderco fan and quite frankly couldn't see anything in them that could cause the following they get.
That being said, I was given a Jesse Horn lightweight about six years ago. I took it camping thinking 'ah I'll take this poxy little thing, if it breaks, no big deal' The little thing took everything I threw at it and after giving it a scrub with Jif and a toothbrush you wouldnt have know it had been so badly abused.

I now think that the attraction of the Spyderco is the 'useability' of it. I have some costly folders that are never used, simply because they please the eye but are really incapable of being an EDC

The Spidie pictured here says 'Go on, use me, use me hard baby, oh yeah!' :D LOL A bit far I know but it really does look like a 'user'

Absolutely true. Spyderco's are pure function knives. They are designed to be better user knives then anything else on the market, and thats why I love them. I think their designs are ugly, but looks don't make a knife good...they only make it eye-catching. Spyderco, I salute you for making those lovable ugly knives! :D :p ;)
