hey guys i was wondering out of those two choices which you would rather have and use for everyday carry. i know the final descion is up to me but i'd like some other opinions as well.

Go for the para 2! I have one and I EDC it every day. The blade is the super S30V steel. It fits perfect in my hand and has a perfect clip wich you can change sides. :D

Personally, I prefer the Superleaf. I like the ergonomics a tad more and I actually prefer VG-10 to S30V. The Superleaf is also a much beefier folder in general, but because of that, takes up a great deal more real estate in the pocket and is a bit heavier. When I can only carry one folder, I'll go for the Superleaf just because I feel it can take more abuse and I never feel 'underknifed' while carrying it. If I'm carrying a bit more, then I actually like to have a larger, heavier folder front right pocket and something like the Paramilitary 2 in my right back pocket for finer tasks.

If you are a fan of the Leaf blade and don't mind giving up some cutting edge real estate to that huge choil then I'm sure the Super Leaf is a great knife. If I could only have one though like many I'd pocket the PM2.

PM2 gets my vote. Especially if you can afford one of the sprint runs in m390, cts-20cp, etc. if not, the s30v is a wicked good steel as well. The ergos of the PM2 are amazing.

I have owned both. I sold the Superleaf and I own about six Para 2's now, so my choice should be obvious. I was really stoked when the Superleaf was announced but there's just something about the ergos that looses out to the Para. I think part of the issue for me was that it took up so much room in my pocket I couldn't get my hand down into it to get other stuff. It's a wide knife when closed.

I do like VG10 over S30V and I wish there was a variant of the Para made with VG10.

I have a P2 which is my favorite all around folder, but just bought a Superleaf that is in the mail. I love the comp lock and wire clips, so it should become one of my favorites! Everyone needs a Para though, not everyone needs the superleaf. Good luck!

Like elkins, I'm up to six or seven Paras now (including P1s and P2s). They are such a great platform, I highly recommend getting one. Probably one of the best all-around knives ever manufactured.

The SuperLeaf is also a killer blade, and has the compression lock. But you'll find that the SL is a much bigger knife that feels a lot more bulky in your pocket. The ergonomics are great, so it handles fantastically. It is just a much bigger knife...
