Hi Folks,
Well, I am going through with it. I have a Spyderco Paramilitary with STR low rider clip and for sale. It's been carried twice and used to cut a few envelopes.

--It's got an STR Clip
--It was rebeveled by Steve to a 40 degree microbevel and 30 degree primary.
--I have the original box and original clip with screws

Steve did a thread on this same knife in his forum. Check it out.

I will try to answer your questions:

1. The clip is mount in the same holes as the original clip. Tip
down carry. He could have swapped to tip up but I don't like as I
also have had them open on me.
2. it does lower the knife and it rides so nicely.
3. The blade is the satin version.
