Hey I was wondering if there was any site that sells spyderco parts. I'm Canadian and I had a part on one of my spyderco knives break and I emailed spyderco's warranty and they wont do anything for me unless I mail them my knife but due to resent changes at the canadian boarder I most likely wouldn't get my knife back across the border to Canada but spyderco refuses to help me. I even offered to just buy the part and pay to have it shipped 20191024_010247.jpg

I have had 3 knives ceased at the bored and the reason I was given for being ceased was it can be opened with one hand since they made the new stupid rules about what is able to come across the border

The tention bar on my uk penknife. It's a slip joint and it broke so now it just flops open and closed

What province are you in I'm from Canada as well and I'm in Ontario and I just did 2 separate orders for 2 Benchmade Contego 810 with a M390 blade.

I'm from Alberta and my friend just ordered a esee izula and it got ceased because they said the lanyard hole could be used as brass knuckles. I own one and I can barely fit my pinky through it

The uk penknife is a slip joint. I own a delica and it's a lock back unless you have a slip joint delica
Ah gotcha. Well I have some spare knife parts here but not sure on that without seeing it

The picture I posted at the start of the thread is the broken part if you wanted a picture it has some kind of part code or something stamped in the side of it
Ahh I must have missed it. Yeah don't have any of those

Recently it has been a problem with any knife that can open with one hand
My USA bought Spydercos from places like Blade HQ with the contents prominently labeled have cleared fine. All they cared about was getting the tax paid.

It depends on whether it's going through the east coast customs or west coast... That's why you have varying results. Right @Sharp & Fiery?

As a few have said before there is nothing to worry about here.Slip joints are 100% legal like a swiss army knives. Not a problem at all to ship back for warranty service.
