Spyderco Persistence issue

Bought a Spyderco Persistence about a month ago, and I immediately noticed the opening on this knife was nowhere near as smooth as on my other Spydercos including my Tenacious which is also a budget Spyderco. I cleaned it, blew it out, and oiled it. It was much better but something just felt wrong.I wasn't worried about the warranty because, It's just a thirty dollar knife, so I took it apart making sure to keep all the 4 washers in the exact same places they were. I cleaned everything very good, lubed, and reassembled. It felt good after that. A few days later it started to get hard to open again. I finally came to the conclusion the detent ball is dragging and grinding into the tang. Any ideas out there? I know it's a cheaper knife, but I'm sick, I'm bored, and I really want to like this EDC-sized little knife.

Just put a tiny bit of grease on the detent path. It will smooth out as it wears in more.

Thanks! I'm kind of new to knives. I've been buying them for about a year, I've bought way too many, and the Persistence is the first one I have had a problem with.

Not a problem and welcome to the forum
