I think i will get one spyderco phil willson south fork in s90v

Before i do, is there any other one that i should check, s90v or m390 or similair?

I'm sharpening one now for a forum member. I know from experience the S90V is a top performing steel, and I know from handling this one it would be worthwhile to own.

I can not emphasize how amazing the blade is on this knife. I feel like I can cut cinder blocks with it and it won't dull one bit. Not really, but it's great out of the box sharpness and ability to stay sharp is truly amazing. I have an M390 BM 710 and that Southfork is in a whole different realm of edge retention. The only minor beef I have with it is my hands are on the large side and the slabs are quite thin on the knife. A little hockey tape and it suits me fine. Plus the thin slabs make for a very slim profile and lightweight carry. I field dressed, skinned, and boned out a 350 lb. bear with it last fall and it feels like it could do ten more without even dulling a bit.

This is a custom quality fixed blade in a production fixed blade package. Everything about it is top notch. The handle is perfectly shaped and is flush all the way around with the blade and rivets. Blade is literally hair splitting sharp.

It was so great I got one in my local retail store at near MSRP.

Call me crazy.

just got it, very good first impression!

time to play around with it now, more than shaving sharp out of the box!
