I really like the looks and size of the Phoenix. Since I don't have a local knife store around I'd like to get some input from those who may have tried out or handled this knife.

Thanks

search will yield several reviews. Here is one from the Spyderco forum as well: http://spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36281&highlight=phoenix

I have a couple. I love them. One of my all time favorite Spydies.

It's more stout than people think at first. One of the strongest knives I own. It's also buttery smooth to operate.

The only common knock is some sharp edges on the Ti scales (which is EASILY fixed with a bit of high grit sandpaper)

Anything specific you want to know??

For some reason I never thought of putting "review" in the search form. Anyway, thanks for the hint. :) I think most of my questions have been answered now.

The only questions I still have are comfort and ease of use. How easily is the knife clipped onto your pocket? Some really nice knives I have are a real pain to use due to the clip design/shape. And how comfortable is the knife while in your pocket? Does it gouge into your leg at all with sharp corners/edges?

Thanks.

The clip is good. Really sturdy. I'd prefer it had a wire clip but that's just my preference. As solid clips go it's a bit tougher than most but easy enough to use.

As to the carry. I don't notice it. But then I did sand all the edges just a bit. Doubt that made any difference to my leg but it might to my hand reaching into the pocket.

Great knife, only gripes are sharp edges and that it rides pretty high in the pocket. Opens buttery smooth and fit and finish is great on mine.

The only downside is it is a little hard to close - pulling the ball bearing back. Otherwise, The knife is perfect in every way and one of my favorites.
