Just saw this knife for the first time. It looks really cool, does anyone have one and if so what are your opinions? Do you/would you use it? I do not like the idea of a safe queen, and would use it.

It's my EDC right now. There are a few sharp edges/corners that need to be removed but after it feels great in hand, butter smooth action(and I mean it). Clip is a bit tight for jeans or similar thick fabric, frame is also pretty wide so take up a bit of pocket space. The horns on handle sometimes jab me in the thigh when I squat down.

Thumbs up overall.

Awesome, could you post some pictures, maybe with another common knife? I really like having more unique items and this one is unique, rare, and awesome looking. I am happy to hear you are using it also.

Forgot to mention it rides pretty high, about an inch exposed above pocket.

When it was new without scratches, note if you compare with stock photo I rounded the corner on end of handle.

Compare to Sage, Manix, and Endura.

I've got one. I really like the style, but it is a safe queen. I wish it came with different colored handles, I don't care much for the white.

That is a good size, not too small, not too large. It looks to be pretty wide when closed though.

I was curious about that too because on the Spyderco website it looks more black/brown. It does look better in that darker color IMO.

The width is not too bad, about same as manix, I can keep my huge phone in the same pocket. The scales are held by two screws and you can probably make your own fairly easy. There's a thread on spyderco's own forum that has many photo posted, some are very attractive.

I just checked spyderco's site, you are right, the photo is weird, they were all made in white and the site had the correct photo before.

Thanks, I did not find that when I searched for Phoenix. That is some good info and pics.
