I traded this knife when it was out new and I am kicking myself that I ever let this one go.

Was wondering if Spyderco would ever put out a Sprint Run on this model say with
a different steel or different scales, even though the original was perfect.

Just like you, I traded mine away and am still kicking myself. Hopefully they make a sprint run, maybe with darker scales but the original would work too.

Wow. One just was posted for sale on another forum...one named for the civilian version for the M16.

Huh, I guess I had no clue they called a civilian M16, "electronicbay"...? :p
There is one on there with what appear to be custom CTek scales... I didn't look very closely though.

Here it is - found an old pic I took - wish it would come home ;-)

This and the Khukuri are two I would love to own more than any other disco Spyderco.

Count me in for a sprint run! I won't pay collector's prices for one but it's a beautiful knife.

One of the best built Spyderco knives I have ever handled. It is a shame it went under radar. I bought mine for a decent price a couple years ago on the forums.

I still have mine.
I don't know why anyone would want a different color handle, the white linen micarta is the most perfect and whitest I have ever seen.

Here's a few pics of mine. I picked mine up from the forums a few years ago. No one seemed to care about them back then, but the Phoenix looked incredibly unique to my eye.

I bought my Phoenix back when I bought my two ATR's (both stainless and titanium). There was very little interest in the ATR's at the time as well.

What a beauty!
