I hope in future Spyderco makes some thin folders, as most knives I buy regrind on belt sander to suit my needs.Trend nowadays is thick tactical style grinds, but I use my knives only for cutting and slicing and would love to be seeing thin grinds from factory.I am talking about parring knife or little thicker grinds.

I would like to see this in general. Not just from spyderco, but from any company. While I think thicker knives have their niche, thin is nice. I recently review and tested a fixed M390 that was .100" thick. It sliced extremely well and has a different feel to it than a thick blade has.

Check out the Chaparral if you haven't already. It's a real nice folder with a very thin blade stock.

I love the Chaparral and would damn near kill for a Stretch with a 2mm or thinner blade. Sadly, I think we're in the minority. You might also want to check out the Centofante III (and the Centofante IV, if you can find one). I prefer models with a 50/50 choil, but they're 2mm and hollow ground to boot. Centofante Memory is a hair thicker, at 2.3mm, but is also a very impressive slicer.

It isn't from thin stock, but the now discontinued Chokwe has a thinner grind than most of my traditionals.

I agree. It's a lovely knife and a wicked slicer.

Sign me up on the Stretch. I like big, tough knives, but for real cutting performance you gotta go thin to win.
