Spyderco Police 4

In my opinion it already comes with what could possibly be the greatest blade steel ever.

What sprint would you like to see? I am all for getting one in another flavor but I think when you ask for a sprint of a knife you should be a little more specific. Let your voice be heard! :)

I would buy a dark green G10 version in ZDP.

Me? Yeah, I love K390.

I am a steel geek and honestly I like almost all steels. That said, there are few that just seem to really stand out for me depending on what attributes I am looking for. K390 is definitely one of them.

My EDC ten years full serrated Police, and get one ATS-55 ful serrated with G10.
Now like a full serrated version Police.
The problem K390 blade will not have serrated talk Sal last year.
The dark green G10 version with ZDP blade is great idea.
Maybe CTSXHP blade or CPM20CV.

Would milled Titanium be cheaper in seki than g-10? If so I’d love one of these in k390!

Hi Yonose,

Milling Titanium is harder than milling G-10 and the material costs are higher.

I do realize it was a dumb question, I was trying to figure out which handle materials could be substituted for g-10 to bring the price down a bit.

Hi Yonose,

It's currently in-the-works.

That is amazing and I would like to preorder 4 of these with the k390 steel, possible more. I really want a user for my bedroom, kitchen, office, street!!! Will this have steel hardware and frn grips, or will there be little hardware to go along with the frn. Could be the knife of ‘19 or ‘18 award winning. Make sure there’s enough k390 to go around, I think at least 4500 models ordered for an initial run would give a taste of what’s to come!!

Hi Yonose,

The G-10 K390 Police 4 is very expensive and it's an "afi" model so we don't get big sales. It's also illegal in many jurisdictions. It's very large. Not for everyone, but there are many of us, like you, me Darby, and others that see its value. I don't expect the FRN Police 4 to be a big seller, but enough of us will be interested in the model (an unusual and unique model) to tool up and keep the model going. The plan is a basic version in VG-10, a ZDP model (British Racing Green) and a K390 version (which will be more expensive) (open to color selections?). It also opens the door for variations and sprints. I carried one today and I do carry one often (though it is illegal in Denver).

As a knife, a portable cutting tool, it works well, for many tasks, above all laws and some will appreciate the fact that we make it and make it available.

Construction will be like a large Endura. nested liners, 4 way stamped clip, bi-directional texture, full flat grind, 4+" blade. I'm looking forward to getting one.

I own every generation of Police except gen 1 ... because I lost it many years ago. It was the first knife to "blow my mind" and set me down the path of Spyderco and modern folding knives. I'd probably buy any version that comes out. Including cardboard.

Very much looking forward to a FRN Police! Gotta have a royal blue handle on at least one version!

I carried a stainless Police PE for 8 years when I waited tables down in Lakewood. I lived down on Capitol Hill and it gave me great peace of mind.

my first Spyderco was an old Police G-10 with ATS-34 steel. I gave it to a friend that use it every day ;-)
Loved that blade

Thanks Sal you are awesome!!!!

My 1st Spyderco was a Police. I remember holding it while dealing with aggressive pan-handlers at Pike Place and Everett 1990
