I just got back the Spyderco Police that Tom Krein worked on for me. I asked him to sharpen the swedge and re-sharpen the main edge. The swedge can be sharpened because when folded, the swedge part of the blade is covered by a swell in the handle.

He did a superb job. The swedge and the main edge are now sharper than the main edge was when factory new. He did the work in no time, less than a week from when I mailed it, including the July fourth holiday.

Thanks, Tom.

We need pics! How thin did you go with the edge? Tom can really put a screaming edge on a knife, using only a 120 grit belt and a quick hit on a 600 grit buffer to de burr, I believe. You get tree topping push cutting along with tremendous slicing agression. Hard to beat that combo.

Thanks!

I actually did not regrind the main bevel.

I did regrind the top clip as it is way to thick to sharpen. Let me say that you could just sharpen it but it would be very thick. I took the top swedge to just before a zero edge and then sharpened it!!:D

I also deburred all the sharp edges on the choil and spine of the blade.

Glad you like it!!

Tom
