hey evry 1 i got a spydy police ss model no serrations, the thing is, i got some big scratches on the handle, and i wanna know what i use to get them out, without having to refinish all the handles etc.

but i like the finish it has :)

i dono, ill ask the expert, maybe it is a hand rubbed finish, not sure

i polished out some scratches on mine w/a dremel w/a buffing wheel and rouge, worked pretty good too.

those cratches give the knife some character, and they'll come again once you start using it. unless you want to collect it, just leave the scratches were they are. i have had the same problem with my endura, but once you realize that it doesn't really matter, it'll be ok. you'll even start liking the knife more, cause now you wont be afraid to use it :D

There is nothing that you can do as long as you keep putting that Police SS into your pocket. It'll damn well get scratched up.
When I get my Native SS, it scratched up on the first day.

Wet some 400 grit sandpaper, wrap around a sanding block or a small flat piece of wood or something, and rub along the length of the scales. Make sure to go in one direction only, and the entire length. Otherwise you'll get little circles that make it look even more scratched up. You can do the same with 600 grit afterward but 400 should be pleny fine enough. Maybe too fine if the scratches are deep. In that case, start with 220 instead and move up to 400. You don't even really need the block but your handles'll be more rounded when you're done otherwise.

Best suggestion is to learn to live with the scratches.

Aaron..

you could always Jewel the entire knife :)

At least it'll look interesting and with a box of SS Police in a box on the table,, you'll know which one is yours...:)
