I was wondering if the blade from an original Police model with the stainless handles would fit in the new frn lightweight handles. I like the sabre ground pt serrated blade with that small false edge more than the flat ground.Id knock the pin out w a punch,unfortunatly destroying that handle and put that blade in the new frn was wondering if it would fit and if its got the same configuration ?
 
I think ive found the answer; the lightweight blade is 118 thick the original one is .125 I guess its not even going to fit....
 
You know the stainless handle is pinned together, the pivot hole would be too small so you would have to drill out the hardened steel tang for the new pivot. The thickness issue could be resolved with washers, but the lock would not mate up either.
 
yeah I see real fast it isn't going to work I thought I can drive out the pivot pin w a punch,and drilling out that blade tang is another issue ….
