Spyderco PPT becoming a collectable?

A few months back they were easy to find at around $135 shipped. Not they are sold out and reaching upwards of 150-170

Those who own them, are you using them, or keeping them as safe queens?

Ive been debating buying one, but I don't want to buy another knife that just sits around

I carry mine often. It has a great handle. The blade shape is unusual, but it grows on you. Overall a great knife, me thinks.

It was on sale a lot at my local dealer. It didn't seem to sell very well. so, I say no.

I doubt it. I still see them sell on the forums for $115.

I've seen certain models sit on dealer shelves for a long time, and then discounted in order to sell them. Then I have seen the same knife become very sought after a few months later. I guess what I am saying is, you just never know what might become collectable.

Yeah it could appreciate somewhat. I think it's a good knife. I own one that I use.

Mine's my EDC most days. My Chap 1 and my Techno duke it out on the other days. Great knife.

I use mine a lot. Perfect fit and finish and a very usable design.

That said it could have been perfect if they;

Replaced the thick steel liners with titanium
Ditched the steel back spacer and fitted the clip like Sacha does on his customs
Used some other color G10 like on the proto

I didn't know they disco'd it. It's a nice knife but all the collaborations seem to be somewhat limited.

I've been wanting one for awhile now. I know that once I get one I would t leave it alone. Lol. It would get new scales, a new g10 backspacer, and Maybe I would bronze some things.

I edc mine. Love it. Action isn't super smooth, but its a solid flicker. It went up in price cause its discontinued. And no point in buying it as a collectible for resale. How much could it really possibly go up.
