Can anybody tell me if the 701mf stones has the same shape as the stones in 204mf(especialy for the corner and the size)? From the description in spyderco's website, I guess they are similar, but I am not sure. I am asking this because I can't find the ultra fine Profile, so I am thinking of buying a ultra fine 204 replancement stone instead. ;) Thanks!!

The 701 stones and 204 stones are different in shape and size. The 701 stones are designed to be used free-hand and don't fit the Sharpmaker System. Sharpmaker 204 stones are triangular while Profile stones (available medium or fine grit) are elliptically shaped with four sharpening surfaces: A flat surface and large radius for Plainedges, a small radius for SpyderEdges. Spyderco doesn't produce an ultra-fine 701 Profile.

If you're proficient and comfortable free-handing definately try the 204 ultrafine.
