Found a few nice surprises at my local B&M today. One is a Q variation, and Im unsure what the other is. Maybe a R?
Anyway, I plan on putting them up for trade soon and I've been a little out of the loop on Spydie values and any info on the models and their current value would be a great help.
Neither had boxes and the larger of the two looks like it was carried and used a little, the Q appears to be mint or really close.
Help an out of the loop spydie fan out!

Tx,
Adam

Yes, the second knife is an "R". The R2 had a solid blade. The model never really interested me, so I have no idea on the value. The last Stars and Stripes Q I saw sell went around $80, but that has been a while as well.

Thanks Yabz, neither of them appeal to me either. I knew they were worth far more than he was asking, so I snagged them. Thanks again for the info.

I bought these 2 knives thinking that I'd keep the "R" for a work knife and that the "Q" might get me something nice on the trade forum. After a bit of research it looks like my new work knife is the pick of the litter.:o

I'm almost ashamed of how little I paid for these. Here is some eye candy from the best knife deal I've ever recieved.

Nice score. The Q was available with several dozen different blades, and several different handle colors, in both plain and Spyderedge, and in leaf and sheepsfoot blades. The blade with the Spyder bug logo is by far the most common. Others were done with advertisers' logos. The sheer number of different ones make the rarer ones very valuable in the eyes of collectors of them. I wouldn't be surprised if there's nobody who's managed to amass a complete collection.

pretty nice condition!

Yeah, I really lucked out. Not too bad for being over a decade old.

The Q will be on its way to Ohio tomorrow and I'm surprised the R is still around. Too bad i didn't find a great deal on a model I'm really interested in. :o
