I saw one of these at a local flea market type place, and it is an actual Q. I was just wondering, is it worth that price if I actually want it to use, instead of buying a UK Penknife (the lock is no difference). I a just asking about the performance of the steels (Gin-1 and 440C), and blade geometry between the two.

The Q is a neat little knife and as long as locking folders are legal for you to carry and you don't want to spread peanut butter or cut soft, viscous materials, it should perform at least as well as the FRN UKPK.

Absolutely lovely day I had (he says with heavy sarcasm). The damn thing was gone before I was able to buy it... Could have made an easy $70, or gotten a flood of intrigue comments when I pull that thing out. Maybe Spyderco will rerelease the knife sometime in the future...

Def buying the UKPK. I also lucked out (after getting screwed), and found a D2 blade knife for a killer price of just under $40. Funny how I find a once-in-a-lifetime deal, lose it, then find another. I am also getting my UKPK for $30, so that's a pretty good deal for it being new.

If it's the G-10 version, you just have to hope it's a real one. There's a fake out there that, aside from lacking clip cuts on the left scale, is disturbingly hard to spot.

Nah, I like the FRN (and dislike G10), and can't really afford the G10 model.
