Hey people,
I want to start off by saying that I respect Spyderco and love all their products.
But I have a question, a buddy told me over the phone today that the Spyderco "patented hole" isn't patented anymore. He said that it expired. Is this true?
How do they then stop competitors from mass producing knives with the "hole" feature now?
I checked out the Trademark and Patent website and didn't find anything on the "patented hole":
http://www.uspto.gov/index.html
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this, as we got in a bit of a disagreement over the phone and I'd like to have this cleared up. I know there's more important things in life -but I like facts.
Thanks to anyone who can offer some clarification.
