Any owners/collectors of the Renegade out there? Tell me what you like/dislike about it. How is the performance of the steel(GIN-1 or 2?) compared to some of the newer designs?
Thanks for the input!
Barry

Hi Barry. The Renegade was designed back in the mid 90's just before the Military.

It's a lock back (mid lock). Blade length about 4". G10 scales. Gin-1 Steel. Bowie style blade, hollow ground.

ACtually, we found parts for Renegades in the plant & we'll be making a short run next year (2001).

That's good news, Sal. I always liked the looks on the Renegade, though I never had the chance of actually handling it (one of the many downsides of living here is you don't get to see quality knives "live", only through pictures).
It would still be good to read opinions from those who have one of those.

Leo Daher

I have its smaller brother the Blackhawk and it is one very sweet knife. Based on it, I too would be interested in the Renegade.

We still have some Renagades in both plain and serrated blades. Plus some Blackawks in plain blade. All at the prices when they were discontinued.

If you want any, have your favorite dealer give us a call or call Wright Knives on 1-800400-1980.

Happy New Year to all! May it bring you wealth, health and happiness.

One of the few with a nice clip point blade. Hope the 2001 "leftovers" are made with a linerlock, as was the originals were intended.

The Renegade is a good alternative to the Police all ateel. It is lighter, provides a more secure grip, and has a blade length just less than 4" for those legally concerned. Additionally it is a tip down carry.
