I had the fine fortune of handling this lovely piece for many weeks.
I Really like the plain edge of this and the size makes for a great edc. It's a bit on the long size but very light.
DAMN I forgot to weigh it....
Specs
length overall 8 3/16" (209 mm)
blade length 3 5/8" (93 mm)
blade steel VG-10
length closed 4 5/8" (117 mm)
cutting edge 3 3/8" (86 mm)
weight 2.7 oz (75 g)
hole diameter 9/16" (14 mm)
blade thickness 1/8" (3 mm)
handle material FRN
The Rescue maintained an edge very well. A few licks on the Sharpmaker and strop and it was back to full sharp. I really hardly ever sharpened it.
It was the plain edge that I was enamored with. It has a lovely razor edge on it that sliced a thin slice from a tomatoe.....After using it and not sharpening it cut as well as any of my well maintained kitchen knives.
The slice I'm cutting here is much thinner than it appears in the pic
It fit my hand and carry style very nicely
And here's a nice pic of the edge...Least I think it's nice....
The tip was a bit dulled when I got it and I never spent the time to get the tip back in shape....Looked like it was dropped and the tip hit. Not chipped! but a bit out of plane....
Never bothered me in any of the edc stuff that we all do.
I don't know what the price of these are on the secondary market. But I am now lookin for one. It's a GREAT knife.
