Had these 2 in the Pass around, here are my thoughts.
Rescue Wave:
Definitely fun. I have not used a waved knife before so it was nice to play with one for a while. It worked well, deploying almost 100% effectively. A couple times I clipped it too far forward for good wave opening. The Rescue blade worked well as a box opener and ate plastic strapping for breakfast. The SE blade is very nice and should stand up to some hard use. I liked this one a lot. I also liked the handle color.:D

S:
I really was not a fan of this. It looked cool. It was super lightweight. Reminiscent of one of my first Spydies, the Q. Sadly this one just isn't made for much use(not something I would expect to say about a Spyderco). It has a very limited amount of blade that could be sharpened before you reach the cut-outs. Slicing through cardboard was hindered by material snagging on the cut-outs. Ergos were good and the comp lock worked well. It would perhaps be suitable for an office knife, or a letter opener, but not an EDC. People I showed it to thought it was really cool looking. It is a cool design, just not one I'm interested in.

Thanks for the reviews!

I like the Wave feature a lot and the Rescue series are lightweight work horses.

The S is not really my thing either, but I carried as an EDC for a few days and had no complaints, but I never thought about repeated sharpening reaching the cut outs.
