Got one? Seen one? Love it? Hate it? Too big? Too small? Greatest knife ever? Worst waste of steel in history?

If you do a search for "Resillience" you'll find tons of discussion about this knife. You'll find that people say that it is a great knife for the small price tag that it carries. Few knives provide as much dollar for dollar.

Got mine a few days ago as birthday present from a friend.

I never payed much attention to it, cause it was made in China.
But...
I'm very surprised with this knife !!! I never thougt it would be this good ! Seriously... If nobody told me about it, I'd never think this is a us$50 knife !!!

I can't tell about the steel, but it handles nice and the lock has a very strong feel, indeed... I can even say it looks stronger than the liner lock on the Military (excuse my blasfemy...)

In short, I don't think there's nothing better for the money...

I got a Persistance today ( similar to the Resiliance) and fit and finish is tight and so is the lock. Yeah... Made in you-know-where...but the knife I got for the money rivals many more expensive knives I have.

Spyderco makes excellent knives for the money provided you buy them online at the right places. It's little Native was a great introduction to the line and Spydercos appeal to a wide range of people. Alas, though, I'm not one of them.

I appreciate beauty in a knife and the Spydercos all seem to look alike to me. The blades all tend to be about the same shape (very efficient), but I find it interesting that I find more appeal in the company's Byrd line of folders. I have a Cara Cara that has G10 scales and a place for my thumb at the top of the blade. It's also a sexy design. (I once left a post saying the holes in the frame were for ventilation and I had a few people buying it...I couldn't resist.)

Anyway, you have a box full of Spydercos and very few of them will look very different. There are not recurved blades, no Bowies, no stilettos or other designs. You basically get a leaf-shaped blade that varies in size and steels. And that's good for people like me, who gets one or two knives and there's no reason to get any more. I mean, what would you use them for?

.

Its huge and I love it. Wouldnt carry it every day, but its a beast for working and the outdoors. Excellent knife. It's a spyderco..

Great knife. Not the greatest steel, but it's sharp and sharpens well. I dinged the edge of mine near the tip and only took a couple minutes on a stone and ceramic rod to fix it. Feels nice and nimble for a big knife. Four position clip. G10. Strong liner lock. Not much to dislike. I only need the Ambitious to complete my Tenacious family.

Dollar for dollar one of the best bang for the bucks out there. I bought one for a nephew who works in construction, and is known for being extremely hard on pocket knives. By his account it's holding up well.
