I got a Spyderco Resilience a few months ago and I have put a ghetto wave on it but I just can't get over the way it looks. Im debating on taking a dremel to the hole but im not sure if it would be better to cut a chunk out from in front of the hole or open up the hole to make a better wave option. Namely, I ask for the reason of structural integrity of the blade. So what would you guys choose?

I've done this.

That's a lot better than what I was planning on doing. You wouldn't by chance have a picture with it open would you? Thanks for the idea.

I've since given the knife to a friend.
Here's the last photo I took before I polished out the scuff marks and smoothed out the lines. Pretty rough just after the Dremel job.

Nice! The zip tie method works but like you, I hate the way it looks. If you have reservations about doing it yourself send it off to Charlie Mike, the surfing specialist.

I think I'll be trying my hand at this, I am a little nervous about messing up the blade but as long as I keep it cool enough, id assume it'll be ok. Plus, I gotta start somewhere I guess.
