Hi guys! Im'm pretty new to knife sharpening and had a quick question. I have a Spyderco Resilience and I usually use it for food prep and skinning dear, fish, etc. I was wondering, could get away with putting a 17 degree edge on it? I dont really use it for prying or anyhting crazy, just for food prep basically. Thanks!!

The tenacious and resilience I am familiar with.
It will take a 15 per side if you wish and keep it well.
But I would make a 20/20 micro bevel no matter what.
The steel is still kind of soft and does deform a little bit.
Just thin it out as much as you can and go from there, worst case you find out and resharpen it. That stuff turns into a razor in minutes.
