Spyderco Reveal 16 is live

They haven’t delivered the last batch of 15v they promised, so I’m not thinking anything will be on the market soon. A couple of the non-lockers look interesting, at least.

Hmmm . . . the "Nand" looks like something KAI would produce & the "Gooney" just looks goofy like other odd knives that Spyderco has made in the past.

Oh well . . . nothing in Reveal 16 for me. 🤷‍♂️

BTW, if you want to know what "reveals" have already been released & are still pending, you can check THIS thread in the "official" Spyderco forum.

Thanks. I had remembered incorrectly that they were in the Reveal 15. They were, at the time, expected to be in the R15, but got pushed to R16. Sorry for the confusion.

Sprint run is a non starter for me. If 15v is the bees knees as every one say it is, they should replace Maxamet in the line up. Oh well, more money saved for me.

I had no idea what would happen. But I am suprised the new 15v stuff is sprints not regular production. I was thinking the same as you were, it would've made sense, it looked like they were rolling out the complete lineup to replace maxamet.

Edit just to say it is very good stuff. But I have no maxamet to compare against either.

I got the recently released blue versions of this knife and am pretty impressed. Used the black coated one on some squirrels recently and it did a fantastic job with that task.

The cool titanium treatment and steel upgrade on these will have me taking a serious look. I did get one of the blue ones that had some bad detent lash, so maybe have your retailer check it before shipping. :thumbsup:
 
So I just stumbled on this Reveal and am not familiar with the process at all. Apparently these have not been released to retail, is that right? Seeing that the Para 3 in 15V is a Sprint run, how do I maximize my chances of scoring one?

Yes, not released yet.

I'd try to follow Thomas Moore on Instagram, he seems to be pretty good at dropping when the sprints are released.
 
I would like a Native Chief with S110V steel, but not with FRN grips. I recently bought a Chief with Magnacut steel, and I find the FRN grips are too light for my preferences. The G-10 Chief is my favorite Spyderco knife. Is it possible to replace an S30V blade with a Magnacut blade, in a Native Chief that has black G-10 grips? Thank you for your input!

On other models like the Native 5 I’ve swapped blades between Lightweight and G10 models. But usually keep(and swap) the locks together with the blades ensuring proper function. Good luck and report back if you attempt this.
