Spyderco Sage 1 vs Maxpedition Excelsa

Hello. I've been looking at two knives listed above and i'm having a tough time deciding what to get to get. I know spyderco makes great knives that are common for edc (and I love the cf scales!). But i'm also looking at the Maxpedition Excelsa, mostly because it reminds me of the chris reeve sebenza! I just don't know about the un-finisted d2 blade. I like getting knives that don't need too much care, but every knife needs care. (especially the Ontario kukri). I have no bias on the two. Any help?

I'd take the Spyderco Sage. Handled the Maxpedition at BLADE and it did not impress me for the money they are asking.

Yeah? I love carbon fiber and titanium. maybe ill be looking into the sage 2. sure its a little more but I really want/need a titanium framelock.
