spyderco sage 2 ti or bradley alias II. I have heard both compared to the sebenza, but how do they stack up against each other. And if anybody else knows of other good ti framelocks feel free to compare them with the sage and alias also.

Its not really budget issue. I just wanted to try one out to compare to the sebenza. I have owned sebenzas, just wanted to try one or the other. I will end up getting both eventually, just wasnt shore witch one.

I highly recommend the SageII. It now gets more pocket time than my sebbie. I like a 3" blade for EDC, and the Sage handle fits my hand much better than the sebbie(when held in choil grip as it was made to be held).

It feels more like a med sized knife in hand. I handled an Alias at Blade, and it was nice but prefer the SageII.

If you can get past the Tawain thing that is. I did real fast when it arrived.

Here's a pic for size comparison

Ken44 great pic right there, I had the same questions about the build quality of a Taiwanese knife but the lines on that SageII kind of kill any reservations.

I've owned a Sage II. Gifted it to someone. To me the Sage II felt kind a "light". I am not sure why. I don't know if Seb's have thicker Ti scales or what. I just think that the Seb's that I've held and played with in the past felt heavier. Not too heavy just better.

I like the Seb clip better and that it's made in the USA. That said, I'd go with a Bradley, due to it being USA made and slimmer due to not having a Spyderhole. Plus I like the blade shape on the Bradley better.

The width of the Sage II bothered me for carry. My Alias II carried very much like my small sebbie.

I liked the ergos of the Sage II when open (I'm partial to choils) but, between the Sage II & Alias II I personally would opt for the Bradley.
But that's solely due to my preference of size & not becuase of quality.

This is a tough one. The width bothers me as well, but I keep coming back to consider the Sage...Im a sucker for Ti framelocks.

That being said, buy the Sage while you can, the Bradley should be around after the Sage has been put into moratorium.

There's no word if any more Aliases will be made, too. Dealers are out and nobody has any info on when/if they will be back in stock.

I have 2 alias 1.Great knives but I have a pet peve as far as blade play goes. They both

lock up fine up and down but have a little side to side play. One is tight by normal

standards, the other --- I cant get tight . Yes I have used locktite. The play has

gotten a worse since new. I have 25 or so spydies -- they all lock up tight. I dont

have a sage 2 (too small) but from what Ive read on the forums they are tight.

I would say go sage 2. A $200 Bradley shouldnt have any blade play. I may have

gotten a bad one though.

Getting an umnunzaan next week!!!!

I was told by Ja--- from the Center that Bradley is being sold to another company.

I tried to call Bradley ( non working phone) email no response. If you do buy a

Bradley I hope you have better luck contacting the new company than I did with

Bradley. Id go with a sage2!!!

All Bradleys, but Kimuras, are under Benchmade's lifetime warranty. If you have a problem with yours just give BM a call and I'm sure they'll take good care of you.
