Spyderco Sage vs. Sage 3 handle thickness

Hello everyone!

I've been eyeing out Sage 3 ever since it got released, I am huge fan of Sage 1, which is my fave spyderco with Bob Terzuola and UKPK. Now I was wondering since listings I see, Sage 1 has slightly thicker blade 3mm vs. Sage 2's 2,9mm and 3's 2,6mm I was wondering if Sage 3 is bit thinner than Sage 1? It would b e great, not that Sage 1 is anything fat... but still.

I was lucky to get Sage 1 unused from forums but in terms of Sage 3, I have to invest quite bit money (around 170€'s) nativelly, price a side, Spyderco is worth of every penny, I am just wondering Sage 3's thickness compeared to Sage 1.
 
I don't have a Sage 3, but the Sage 1 measures approx 7/16" (0.4375") thick with a ruler. I don't have a set of calipers here.

I have all three and, IMHO, any differences in in thickness are too small to be significant. Don't have a vernier, but I'd estimate the Sage 3 is about 1/32" thicker than the Sage 1 and either identical in thickness to the Sage 2 or within a hair , one way or the other, of being so. Blade thickness appears identical to me on all three, online catalog shows all as being 3mm. Not sure where you got those numbers from but they're definitely wrong.
 
The sage 3 handle is the thickest and longest of all the sages due to the lock. As deacon mentioned its hard to notice. The blade thickness is identical.
