A continuation of for my new collection, which btw is growing nicely, 90% still in packaging back home.
I decided id like to add some high rust resistant knives to the collection. my first thought is the Spyderco salt series, ive owned & heavily used a few of the H1 ladybugs on the family fishing boat n they worked wonderfully. so now Im thinking of getting 2 larger ones. one plain edge n 1 full serrated.

which ones should i get??
Also, is there a folder out there that is equally rust resistant to the salts

There are so many good SE H1 knives, you really can't go wrong.

Some of my favorite SE H1's-
Tasman (a hawkbill)
Pacific (3.8" blade)
Salt 1 (@2.88" this is pretty much the salt version of the delica, tho the handle is slightly different)
Dragonfly
Ladybug hawkbill

And in PE H1 the dragonfly gets honorable mention.

Benchmade uses an extra high corrosion resistant steel called N680 (as do a few other mfg's) but I'm not sure what of their knives come in that steel.

I really enjoy the all black H1 in black. Not a bad price either at most places and definitely fills an edc and defensive role.

I've wanted a pacific for a while, never could justify the purchase though. I'm not crazy about its pin construction either.

It's not H1, but the most-tested, best, non-rusting marine knife is the David Boye cobalt folding knife. It's a lock back with Ti and Co for all metal parts. It's a mature design that's been around at least 25 years. It can be had in serrated or plain, optional marlin spike.

I have had my Salt for a few years. It gets a lot of rough treatment, yellow handle is easy to find if dropped in the surf backwash or woods. Great knife that you don't have to worry about in wet or cold conditions. I could care less if it is pinned or screwed together. It works.

love that sheep's foot. not a bad add on price for the spike. too bad its out of price range for the total package.
