Spyderco Schempp Rock

It is one sweet knife, a real handful and sharp.

It's a lightweight fixed blade for its size which will not tug your pants down too much. The Steel and blade shape is excellent for wood chopping, although i wouldn't recommend doing heavy duty stuffs like batoning because of it's thin blade stock. However, i do find the handles alittle unconfortable, but not to worry because it seems like i'm the only one. The biggest downside of the Schempp Rock is the sheath- it's bulky and does not have a good fit on the knife. The knife rattles in the sheath even when i am walking, and i got really pissed and sold it away. But of course, there are aftermarket sheath which will do the job better.

I'd love to pick one up and I've handled it a few times. If you're looking for a sharpened prybar, this isn't it. I found that it felt like a cross between a fighter and a kitchen knife in hand, very comfortable, agile, and fast. The thinner stock, broad blade, and aggressive shape should make it a slicing demon, and it feels like that's what it was designed for. I love the looks of it, but my outdoor knives have to be capable of handling my frequent stupidity, so I haven't pulled the trigger.
