I just purchased a manix and love the knife. Only problem is a couple of the screws are stripped. One at the pivot point and the other a bit lower. These are the two largest screws. I think they are also adjustment screws for tensioning? are they. Also anyone know what type/size head they are and if new ones are avail from spyderco. Thanks Jim

As a general rule, screws for current production models are available from Spyderco. You can email Customer Service or, better yet, give them a call, and ask. Might help to have the box for the knife handy when you do. I'm not sure, but the pivot MAY have changed between the earliest ones and the latest, so the date code on the box may be significant. Mine is definitely "early" production. The screws (except for the clip) are all TORX head. The blade and lock bar pivot screws are both T8 and the ones holding the scales and liners to the backstrap are T6.

Being that the Manix is made here in the USA it is probably something readily available. I've only run into problems with the Japanese ones being an odd ball size.

If they are like BenchMade it is probably something any knife supplier carries but maybe with a different head.

Thanks for the help. I will give spyderco a call in the morning and post what they say the sizes are. Otherwise I love the knife even for everyday carry. I haven't been bothered at all by the size/weight. thanks again jim
