I want to buy a spyderco fixed blade and i want a serrata or a street beat.Cant decide.I own enuff and temperance 2 Any advice will be great.Thanks.

Depends on purpose. Serrata = (primarily) cutting tool, Street Beat = (primarily) defensive tool.

Try a Moran, it's the first fixed blade and also a classic design and build. First with vg10 I think.

i will go in january in egipt for 1 year (with work)and i need one blade for diffrent task and i think this will do but i need more opinion thanks

The Serrata is a fantastic knife and its blade shape is great for a very wide variety of tasks. It also has the most comfortable handle of any fixed blade knife I've ever held. I use mine occasionally in the kitchen, but it comes camping with me every single time (I prefer a more dedicated kitchen knife if I'm in the kitchen usually). It should be able to handle most anything you throw at it. Here's a few shots with a Mule Team to show it's size.

I haven't had to sharpen it yet, but from what I hear it shouldn't be too bad. And also from what I've heard it tends to favour a coarser edge finish.
